Sending your quilt top out to be quilted can be daunting and an information overload. Here we have simplified it into categories. What is needed to prepare your quilt for longarming.
Trim all of your loose threads, Square up the quilt top and backing.
Place a pin or fasten a note at the top of your quilt top and backing. Not all directionals are readily apparent.
Remove all embellishments like buttons, bows or anything 3-D that can harm a machine. Save these for after your quilt is returned.
Services that SBC offers from beginning to end.
Seam repairs, minor fixes, and pre-loading prep work is charged per hour.
Pieced backing is charged per seam or matched seams.
We use Glide 40 Poly or Premo Soft. You can reqest a specific color or have SBC color match.
Binding services from preparing binding to attaching binding. All services start at $10.
Request return services on all major scraps (4" +) or you can choose to donate scraps to Project Linus.

Things to know!
Quilt tops that are not prepared before loading process will result in additoanal charges.
Changes should be made ASAP. Multiple changes will result in a fee. Changes AFTER work has begun that requires stitch removal is $30 per hour.
Fullness in tops happen. I can use starch and steam to try to work these out. Major issues noticed once loaded, I will contact before resolving.
