During intake we might notice a few housekeeping issues that need to be addressed before we can begin to load your quilt. This is usually found during intake and is after you have "Booked Your Quilt" and when we recieve it to go over all of your wants. If a busted seam is noticed after quilting has begun, we will stop and contact you with options before proceeding.
Our prepwork before loading is making sure it is pressed, seams are clipped, backing and batting are larger and squared. We check to make sure seams are secured and embellishments are cleared. These steps set your quilting up for success. Without these steps, It can be loaded wonky, have pleats and puckers and just not quilt correctly.
If we notice any of these things that are listed need to be done, repaired or squared and that it goes over our 30 minute allowance, we will message you before proceeding. We charge $25 per hour for any additional work. You will have the option to pick it up to make the adjustments or have us take care of them.
When we say pressing, we are not talking about the creases from being folded. That is to be expected. It really pertains to seams not being pressed and laying flat.
